The apartments are right around the corner from Old Street, an incredibly popular area of Shoreditch thanks to its many independent bars, clubs and restaurants and also, the digital industry which has led to the area being dubbed “The Silicon Roundabout”, thanks to the vast amount of people working in digital professions in the area.
As such, anyone who’s looking to move into a role in one of the many cool offices and workspaces in the area would find this an ideal neighbourhood to commute from. With Old Street Underground and Railway station close by, it’s an ideal place for anyone commuting to further parts of the city as well.
You’ll never be short of a few places to eat in or out of living in this area but, for those looking to find a solid place to shop for everything and anything they might need, look no further than Brick Lane Market. The area may be more well known these days for its curry houses but Brick Lane offers a fantastic open market filled with fresh produce, vintage furniture and exquisite items to add to your wardrobe on the weekends.
The closest rail and Underground connection is just a short walk down the road to Old Street station. Travel from there to Liverpool Street Station for multiple route connections or, if you’re looking to get on the London Overground right away, the nearest station is Hoxton which is again, within easy walking distance.
Multiple bus routes are passing through the area by Old Street station and as such, this means there are several night bus services for getting home if you can’t match up your return home on the night tube and don’t want to spend more money on a taxi!
For local airports, London Stanstead is within an hours journey with the Stanstead Express running services from nearby Liverpool Street Station (average journey time of 45-50 minutes). Additionally, you can use services from Hoxton Overground Station to connect to the Docklands Light Railway and reach London City Airport (average journey time of 40-50 minutes).
If you’re looking to drive into the city centre or around London in general, be aware that there is a daily congestion charge for vehicles driving into the City Centre of £15 per day, so make sure you check where you’re going before you drive around the city as fines for not paying the charge can be very expensive!
