It is located on a quiet, private, village street and by car you can easily explore nearby windmills, historic towns, beaches, Alkmaar and Amsterdam. Bus and train stations are within walking/biking distance.

There is parking right in front of your door.
Your private front door entrance has the word Achterhuis written on the black door.

I live just 5 minutes by car in the neighbouring village. I am an author and work from home, so if you ever need anything I am just a phone call away!

This a great location in the centre of the small, traditional Dutch town, Broek op Langedijk. Around the corner, a 5 minute walk, are small bars, cafes and restaurant. There are two large shopping malls just 700m and 4km away. By car you can easily explore nearby windmills, historic towns, beaches, Alkmaar and Amsterdam. Bus and train stations are within walking/biking distance.

PLACES OF INTEREST:

AMSTERDAM: It takes 45 minutes by car or 50 minutes direct by train to get to the centre of Amsterdam. I would recommend train for this outing as it is very simple, relaxing and brings you to the centre of Amsterdam without stress of parking etc.

BEACHES: Bergen Aan Zee is 25-30 minutes by car, 1hr30 by local transport (bus) or around 50 minutes by bicycle.
Egmond Aan Zee is 25 minutes by car, an hour by local transport (bus) or an hour by bicycle.

HEERHUGOWAARD: A bigger town nearby, you can find more shopping malls, restaurants and a beautiful movie theatre. Biking takes 10 minutes and by car is 7-10 minutes.

ALKMAAR: Less than 15 minutes by car, 25 minutes by bus or 25 minutes biking, brings you to the centre of the historic town, Alkmaar.

SHOPPING CENTRE & GROCERIES: 2 minutes by car, 10 minutes on foot, 3 minutes by bicycle.

BAR, CAFE, RESTAURANT NEARBY: Just minutes walking, right around the corner.

TRAIN STATIONS: Heerhugowaaard train station is 5 minutes by car, 10 minutes by bicycle or 30 minutes on foot. ALKMAAR train station is 10 minutes by car or 15-20 minutes by bicycle.

BUS STOP: 3 minutes walking or 1 minute biking.
