Fulham is a fantastic part of West London to live in. You’ll find no shortage of beautiful, quiet streets and small neighbourhoods like those in Chelsea and Kensington, whilst the main broadway through Fulham is filled with life. There are plenty of lovely walks to be had through beautiful gardens, along the side of the River Thames or, through the lovely cemetery and park in Brompton.
Ironically, Fulham is the home of Chelsea Football Club, one of the most recognised and successful sports teams in the world. You can find the impressive Stadium just a few minutes’ walk away from the apartment so you’ll always know when there is a game on! A slightly longer stretch of your legs will take you to the impressive Chelsea Harbour. On The bank of the River Thames, the area has a reputation for luxury including yacht clubs, amazing restaurants and riverside penthouses.
The area around Fulham broadway is great for everything from shopping locally to eating out. There are many fantastic bars, cafes, restaurants and stores – both from the major and independent businesses, for all your needs. You can always hop on the underground out to Kensington via the major concert centre of Earl’s Court if you fancy going shopping at major department stores such as Harrods!
Getting around from Fulham has a lot of options. London Underground services run from Fulham Broadway directly into Central London which makes commuting for work into the city centre and other parts of London very viable. Additionally, London Overground services from West Brompton, offer other connections to the north and south of the city.
Connecting with Clapham Junction on the London Overground from West Brompton is a brilliant way of reaching other parts of South London much faster. Clapham Junction is one of the busiest train stations in the world, with many services available for travel in and out of the city, as well as connecting trains to London Gatwick Airport (average journey time of 58 minutes).
There are good local bus services from Fulham Broadway to the centre of London and other areas in the event you cannot travel by train services. If you plan on driving in this part of the city, be mindful that to drive into the city centre you will have to pay an additional charge of £15 per day, driving through the London Congestion Charge Zone which includes most of the city centre.
